Additional county offices in the state of Minnesota are shaping up following last week’s filing deadline in the state.
Among regional counties, Lyon County will see a race in County Commissioner District 1 as incumbent Charlie Sanow will face Thomas Dean Andries. In County Commissioner District 2, it will be Todd Draper against David E. Sturrock. Individuals running unopposed include Paul Graupmann, County Commissioner District 3; Eric Wallen, County Sheriff; and Abby Wikelius, County Attorney.
In Pipestone County, there’s a three-person race for the County Commissioner District 2 seat, as Kim Drew, Thomas Haag and Doug Nagel are seeking election. In County Commissioner District 4, incumbent Dan Wildermuth is being challenged by Dawn Wilson. Individuals running unopposed include Keith Vreeman, County Sheriff; Damain Sandy, County Attorney; and Larry Christensen, County Coroner.
In Rock County, all candidates who have filed are running unopposed. Those individuals include: Gary Overgaard, County Commissioner District 1; Stan Williamson, County Commissioner District 2; Greg Burger, County Commissioner District 3; Sherri Thompson, County Commissioner District 4; and Jody James Reisch, County Commissioner District 5. Each are incumbents. Also running unopposed are incumbents Evan Verbrugge, County Sheriff, and Jeffrey Haubrich, County Attorney.
