Dennis Weber files for Worthington City Council seat

The Worthington City Council now has a candidate for its council member at-large post this November.

Dennis Weber, who was appointed on an interim basis to fill a Ward 2 council seat vacated when Alaina Kolpin moved out of city limits, filed Friday for the council member at-large position. That seat is currently occupied by Chad Cummings.

At this time, no candidates have filed to fill the final two years of Kolpin's term. Ward 1 councilman Chris Kielblock and Ward 2 councilwoman Amy Ernst have both filed for re-election; each has no opposition as of yet.

The filing period for city, township and school district offices across Minnesota is Tuesday.
