Community Blood Bank drives scheduled next week in two places

Sanford Luverne Medical Center will partner with Community Blood Bank to host a community blood drive from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Monday, June 8. Additionally, that same day, Community Blood Bank will also partner with Sanford Health Adrian Clinic and Adrian EMS to host a blood drive from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m.

Donors can schedule a donation time by logging into www.cbblifeblood.org, selecting “Donate Now”, “Blood Drive Calendar”, and select June 8th for either blood drive, or call Community Blood Bank at (605) 331-3222. All those who donate will receive a $15 Kwik Trip and an All American Blood Donor T-shirt as thank you gifts at either blood drive event.

Most healthy adults are eligible to donate blood. Donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 with parental consent found at www.cbblifeblood.org), weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good general health. Donors are encouraged to drink plenty of water and eat a nutritious meal before arriving. Valid photo identification is required.
