In the only weekend action among area teams, the Minnesota West Bluejays dropped a pair of games at home Saturday afternoon against Rochester Community and Technical College. The Jays lost the first game 12-2 and fell in the nightcap 15-4.
Tommy Lais had a single and double at the plate for Minnesota West in the opener, while Zeke Nachtigal contributed an RBI double. In game two, the Bluejays had home runs from both Rodrigo Santa and Kent Lais, who also had a triple in the game.
Minnesota West is now 2-12 on the season. It is scheduled for a Tuesday game against the Dakota Wesleyan JV in Mitchell, S.D.
