Billion Automotive buys Worthington car dealerships

Billion Automotive, one of the Midwest’s largest automotive dealer groups announced Wednesday that it is acquiring Marthaler Ford of Worthington and Marthaler Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Worthington. The details of their agreement finalized Wednesday.
The two new locations, Ford and Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, are both located in Worthington. They are joining the Billion Automotive family-owned group of dealerships that currently has twenty-two automotive dealerships in South Dakota, Iowa and Montana.
“We’re excited to add the Worthington stores to our family of business. We look forward to being a part of the community and to bring our buying power to offer new customers great deals on vehicles.” said Chad Radel, Vice President of Billion Automotive.
The stores will be renamed to Billion Ford of Worthington and Billion Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Worthington. They will remain in their current locations.
Billion Automotive started in 1935 when Henry Billion first opened a single, new car franchise in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Since then, Billion Automotive has been a family-owned business with more than 1,200 employees. Owner, David H. Billion (Henry’s son), remains active in the business.
Today, Billion Automotive is one of the Midwest’s largest dealer groups, representing 16 new car brands and 22 business locations throughout Iowa, South Dakota and Montana, in addition to quality pre-owned, service, parts, accessories and collision.
