ATV crash on Thursday results in life-threatening injuries to teen

A 15-year-old male sustained life-threatening injuries Thursday in an ATV crash in Cottonwood County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol. a 2015 Polaris Ranger operated by the male, who was not identified, was northbound in a ditch parallel to U.S. 71 when it lost control and rolled near 240th Street. The crash occurred in wet conditions and took place at 7:42 p.m. Thursday in Cottonwood County's Germantown Township.
The male was transported to Windom Area Health with his life-threatening injuries. The Cottonwood County Sheriff's Office, the Sanborn Ambulance and Fire Department, and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources assisted at the scene.
