The Region 13C amateur baseball baseball tournament continues today with the start of a pair of best-of-three series.
Hadley, which rallied from two runs down in the bottom of the ninth inning in game three of their series against Jackson to knock the Bulls out of the playoffs, will be in Luverne tonight to take on top-seeded Luverne. The Redbirds come into the series with Hadley after finishing off a sweep of a best-of-three series with Adrian.
No. 2 seed Windom, which defeated Pipestone in a best-of-three series to advance in the playoffs, will host the Milroy Irish tonight.
The winners of these two series will qualify for the state tournament. The losers, meanwhile, will meet in another best-of-three series next week to determine the region’s final berth in the state tourney, which is scheduled for Aug. 20 through Sept. 6.
Each of the four remaining teams will draft one pitcher from the eliminated clubs to assist with this week’s games.
