Active Nobles County COVID-19 case count up to 108

There are 108 Nobles County individuals who currently have COVID-19 infections within the 10-day isolation period, according to new data released Friday by the Nobles County COVID-19 Joint Information Team. That number is 19 more than the case count released on Wednesday.

Nobles County infection counts as reported Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health were 5,180 total confirmations – 25 more than reported Tuesday – along with 5,018 cases that are past the 10-day isolation. There have been 54 COVID-related deaths in the county.

The 108 known, currently-infected residents fall into the following age ranges and are indicated along with the change from the previous report: birth-age 10, 26 (up nine); 11-15, 10 (up one); 16-19, four (up two); 20-25, three (up one); 26-50, 43 (up six); 51-64, 11 (same); and ages 65 and older, 11 (up one).

A third vaccine shot is now recommended to be administered for those who are immunocompromised. Also now available is a booster shot, which does not have to be the same vaccine brand (Pfizer, Moderna, or J&J) as the original doses.

Area private-vaccine providers in Nobles County, all in Worthington, are Access Family Medical Clinic/Avera Medical Group, Hy-Vee Pharmacy, Sanford Health, Sterling Drug and Walgreens.
