Wrestlers Eller, Thier and Erdman earn 4th, 5th, 6th place

There was limited action for area wrestlers Saturday at the Minnesota state individual wrestling tournament, with all of it coming in Class A.
At 114 pounds, Kayden Eller of Jackson County Central placed fourth overall. He won 13-1 over Ryder Antony of Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial Area in his first match Saturday, then pinned Logan Pearson of Chatfield in 2:01 in the consolation semifinals. He next met Isaac Guzman of Canby in the third-place match and was pinned in 3:32.
At 127 pounds, Kyler Thier of Jackson County Central defeated Moe Erdman of Adrian Area in the fifth-place match on Saturday. Thier was beaten 3-1 by Carson Petry of WEM-JWP on Saturday, then lost to 8-2 Cayden Nelson of Staples-Motley in the consolation semifinals before edging Erdman 1-0. Erdman lost to Reed Sommer of Kenyon-Wanamingo by a score of 11-3, then was pinned in 3:47 by Wyatt Pilarski of Holdingford before facing Thier.
