The 2025 Big South Conference Baseball All-Conference Team has been announced, and two Worthington High School student-athletes made the cut.
Representing the Trojans on the Black All-Conference Team for the Big South's big schools is just-graduated senior Chase Byrne. Earning honorable mention honors is another just-graduated senior, Dawson Svalland.
Big South champion Marshall led all schools with the selection of five players as all-conference: Chase Alcorn, Andrew Stelter, Josh Kraft, Liam Kruse and Owen Kesterloot. Cooper Mensink was an honorable mention choice.
Luverne, which advanced to the Minnesota Class AA Baseball Tournament, had four players on the Gold All-Conference Team for the Big South's small schools. They include Carter Sehr, Blake Sauer, Jaxon Lais and Layke Miller. Cardinals picked as honorable mention were Alex Schlosser and Maddox Domagala.
Among the other players earning all-conference recognition from the conference's small schools were Hayden Tietz and Quintin Tietz of Windom Gage Johnson of Jackson County Central, and Weston Reinhard, Landon Quist and Nohel Vivanco of Pipestone.

Fans will have one final chance to catch Worthington's own semi-pro soccer team, Worthington Community Football Club, in regular season action this weekend.
The Toros will host Garwo United of Sioux Falls on Saturday at Trojan Field. Worthington Community Football Club is making waves in the United Premier Soccer League's NE-SD-IA Conference with an undefeated record of 7 wins, 2 ties, and 0 losses.
The Toros are coming off a dominant 6-0 win over Sioux Falls Thunder FC, with goals from Miguel Moreno (2), Juani Mackrey, Benjamin Cane, Miguel Ramirez and Carlos Castillo. The full team effort kept them at the top of the conference standings.
Worthington Football Club has already clinched a conference title and is now poised to play Omaha Street in a home playoff match on June 28. The Toros have one win as well as a draw against Omaha Street this season. The playoff spot means Worthington Football Club is among the top 32 teams in the UPSL.
A win on the 28th would put the Toros in a Sweet 16 matchup with either Dodge City or Wichita. In the meantime, Worthington Football Club's match on Saturday against Garwo United is set to begin at 7 p.m.
