Worthington's October highs were much warmer than normal

Worthington's October weather included high and low temperatures that were much warmer than average and precipitation that was slightly less than a half-inch under the average, according to data compiled at Worthington's Wastewater Treatment Plant.


The average high this past month was 65.5 degrees, which is 6.6 degrees above the October normal of 58.9. The average low was 42.8 degrees, which is 6.5 degrees above average.


The warmest temperature of the month was recorded at 89 degrees, which came on Oct. 5. Highs of 88 degrees were measured on Oct. 4 and 86 degrees on the 3rd. The coolest thermometer reading of the month was 27 degrees, which came on Oct. 23.


Worthington picked up 1.82 inches of precipitation during the past month, which amounts to .56 inches of rain less than the 2.38 inches that's typical here for October. Seventy-nine hundredths of an inch of the month's rain was measured on Oct. 29.


So far in 2025, Worthington has received 25.87 inches of rainfall. The average here for the first 10 months of a year is 28.37 inches.


The average high for the first 10 months of 2025 is 61.5 degrees, compared to the average of 58.4. The average low for this year thus far is 38.8 degrees, compared to 37.6.
