The Worthington Senior American Legion baseball team will be back in action for a home game Thursday night against Luverne squad. First pitch is set for 7:30 p.m. (There will be no Legion game tonight),

Worthington enters its next matchup with a record of 2-2 on the year. The Post 5 team was last in action last Thursday, when it lost a 12-0 home game against Adrian. The guests scored single runs without a hit in both the first and second innings, then scored three unearned runs in the fourth for a 5-0 advantage. Adrian then added two more in the sixth and five more in the seventh to complete the scoring.

Keagan Polzine fired a complete-game four-hitter for Adrian, striking out 16 batters in the process. Max Ostrem had two of the Worthington hits.

After Post 5 plays host to Luverne on Thursday evening, it then travels to a tournament in St. James this coming weekend.
