The Worthington Trojans boys tennis team was in action at home Monday afternoon and captured a 6-1 win over Yellow Medicine East.
The Trojans won three of their four singles matches Monday. At No. 1 singles, Ian Barber earned a 6-0, 6-2 victory, while Evan Hansberger was triumphant 6-3 6-4 at No. 2 singles. Dylan Dykstra also won at No. 3 singles by a score of 6-1 6-1.
In doubles competition, Worthington's No. 1 tandem of Lance Gordon and Caleb Barber picked up a 6-2 6-4 victory. Kaw Blay and Daelen Sithad won 7-5 6-3 at No. 2, and Moises Segura and Carlos (Alex) Martinez cruised to 6-0 6-0 win at No. 3.
The Trojans' boys tennis team will next compete Thursday afternoon in a match at Pipestone Area.

Multiple high school sporting events were postponed Tuesday due to the weather conditions.
Among them, the Worthington boys tennis match vs. New Ulm was postponed until Thursday, April 25. The Trojans' home baseball game against Marshall was postponed until Tuesday, May 14. and the WHS softball game was postponed to a date yet to be determined.
