Wet July helps Worthington make up its previous rainfall deficit

Worthington's July weather included high temperatures that were right around the month's average with significantly more rainfall than usual, according to data compiled at Worthington's Wastewater Treatment Plant.


The average high this past month was 82.3 degrees, which is .3 degrees above the July normal of 82.0. The average low was 63.7 degrees, which is 2.9 degrees above average.


The warmest temperature of the month was recorded on the Fourth of July, as the community had a high of 92 degrees. The only other 90-degree day was July 28, when a high of exactly 90 was recorded. The coolest thermometer reading of the month was 55 degrees, which came on both the 17th and 18th.


Worthington picked up 6.35 inches of precipitation during the past month, which amounts to 2.81 inches of rain more than the 3.54 inches that's typical here for July. The greatest amount of rain measured this past month came on July 15 with a total of 1.25 inches.


So far in 2025, Worthington has received 19.59 inches of rainfall. The average here for the first seven months of a year is 18.93 inches.


The average high for the first seven months of 2025 is 56.2 degrees, compared to the average of 53.3. The average low for this year thus far is 33.6 degrees, compared to 33.3.
