Two Lamberton men die in Saturday crash

Two people are dead as the result of a crash Saturday in Redwood County.

According to a press release issued late Sunday afternoon by. the Redwood County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash Saturday evening near the intersection of Redwood County 15 and Jade Avenue. The initial investigation determined that a male driver was ejected from a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado and was later pronounced deceased at the scene. A male passenger was trapped inside the Silverado and was later pronounced deceased at the scene as well. 

The identities of the victims were identified Monday as Curtis Wille, 49, and Duane Waldriff, 75, both of Lamberton. The Minnesota State Patrol, Lamberton Fire Department, Lamberton Ambulance, Centra Care Ambulance and North Memorial Air Care assisted at the scene.
