Two hurt, one airlifted to Sioux Falls after Murray County crash

Two individuals were injured as the result of a crash earlier this week in Murray County.


According to the Murray County Sheriff’s Office, a 2013 Subaru Crosstrek operated by Michael Keleher of Hadley and a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Matthew Arends of Luverne collided at the intersection of Murray County 29 and 121st Street, north of Hadley. The crash was reported at 8:03 a.m. Tuesday.


Both drivers were both extricated from their vehicles by the Slayton Fire Department and transported by the Murray County Ambulance to Murray County Medical Center to be treated for injuries. Keleher was later transported by air ambulance to a Sioux Falls treatment; his condition is not known.


Also assisting at the scene were the Buffalo Ridge Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and Minnesota State Patrol.
