Two hurt in Wednesday A.M. crashes in Murray, Pipestone counties

A Balaton man was injured in a crash Wednesday morning in Murray County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2014 Mack semi tractor operated by Gerald William Janssen, 72, of Balaton was eastbound on Minnesota 30 and a 2014 Kenworth tractor operated by Ezequeil Velazquez, 29, of Pharr, Texas, was westbound when they collided. The crash took place at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday near Minnesota 30's intersection with U.S. 59.
Janssen was transported to Murray County Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury, while Velasquez was unhurt. The Murray County Sheriff's Office, Currie Fire Department and Murray County Ambulance assisted at the scene.

A Woodstock woman was hurt in a separate Wednesday morning crash in Pipestone County.
The Minnesota State Patrol said a 2019 GMC Yukon operated by Tamara Lynn Reese, 64, of Woodstock was westbound on 131st Street and a 2005 Buick Lacrosse operated by Kyle Gordon Stensgaard, 30, of Ruthton was southbound on Minnesota 23 when the vehicles collided in the intersection. The crash took place at 7:51 a.m. Wednesday.
Reese was transported to Pipestone County Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury, while Stensgaard was uninjured. The Pipestone County Sheriff's Office and Pipestone Fire Department assisted at the scene.
