Trojans suffer pair of losses at home triangular wrestling meet

The Worthington Trojans' wrestling team was defeated in a pair of matches at its home triangular Thursday night, as it lost to New Ulm 59-4 and Marshall 57-18.
Against the Eagles, WHS earned its lone victory at 215 pounds, as Austin Gruis won a major decision by a score of 13-4. New Ulm won by forfeit in five different weight classes to account for 30 points of its total.
In the match with the Tigers. the Trojans got 12 points thanks to two wins by forfeit and their other six points from a Gruis win by fall in 3:11.
Worthington next wrestles in a triangular meet at Dawson-Boyd on Tuesday.
