Trojans' girls tennis team gets a win with Saturday triumph over Austin

The Worthington Trojans' girls tennis team picked up its first win of the season over the weekend as it defeated Austin 6-1 on Saturday at United South Central High School in Wells.
The Trojans won all four of their singles matches against the Packers in straight sets. No. 1 Lily Brown earned a 6-4 6-3 triumph, No. 2 Kah Blu Moo won 6-3 7-5 , No. 3 Madison Poe was victorious 6-3 6-2 and No. 4 Isabella Kouame won 6-2 6-3.
WHS also picked up doubles wins at No. 1 and No. 3. The No. 1 pair of Ashley Esparza and Cassie Schulz earned a 7-5 , 6-2 triumph, and the No. 3 tandem of Claire Schultz and Isabella Poe won 6-0 6-1.
The Trojans defeated the Packers after losing their first match of the triangular meet Saturday, as United South Central dealt Worthington a 5-2 setback.
Both of the WHS victories came in singles action. Kah Blu Moo won at No. 2 by scores of 6-4 7-6, and Madison Poe won at No. 3 singles 6-3 6-1.
