Trojan gymnasts win Big South Conference title

The Worthington High School gymnastics team captured the Big South Conference meet Friday night at home, toping Martin County West 141.525 to 135.95.

The Trojans, competing in their final home meet in the season, were paced again by senior Hali Bullerman, who captured the all-around competition with a total score of 37.9 points. Bullerman won the vault with a stellar score of 9.7 while also taking first in the other three events as well. She won the floor with a 9.574, the vault with a 9.375 and the bars with a 9.25.

Addison Gerber finished third in the all-around for WHS; she took second place on the floor and third place on both vault and beam. Brooklyn Dykstra was second on the vault for the Trojans, and Jordis Weber placed third on the bars.

Next up for the Trojans is the Section 3A meet on Saturday. If they win, they’ll be off to state for the 10th consecutive year. That meet will be Feb. 23-24 in St. Paul.
