Top 9-Man football players in region honored on all-district team

The 9-Man South District (West) all-district football team has been announced, and several athletes from several regional schools earned recognition.
Making the team from state champion Hills-Beaver Creek are Micah Bush, Jamin Metzger, Wyatt Shimp, Brodie Metzger, Riggins Rheault and Eduardo Wegener. Karson Metzger was an honorable mention pick.
Adrian-Ellsworth players who were honored include Garrett Penning, Charger Erlandson, Jackson Jenniges and Caleb Wolf. Jesse Bullerman and Joe Rahe were honorable mention choices.
Bryce Nielsen and teammate Owen Olsem from Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda made the team. Jarret Soleta and Kaston Clarke received honorable mention honors.
Edgerton selections were Michael Gunnick, Brady Jadl, Tucker Arp and Tanner Thomson; Colin Scholten and Keeton Ockenge were honorable mention.
On the squad from Westbrook-Walnut Grove were Neil Kuehl and Drew Swanson; Kyle Curry and Ian Knakmuchs were honorable mentions.
Shimp of Hills-Beaver Creek was honored as top lineman, and the Patriots' Bush was selected as top defensive player. Rex Metzger of H-BC was selected as co-coach of the year along with Isaac Jenniges of Red Rock Central.
