Three are airlifted after Monday crash near Rock Rapids

Four people were transported to hospitals -- three of them via helicopter -- after a crash Monday near Rock Rapids, Iowa.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2015 Chevy operated by a 15-year-old male of Hull, Iowa, was southbound on U.S. 75 and a 2025 Honda operated by Kathleen Goedken, 62, of Rock Rapids was northbound. Also involved was a 2018 Chevy Silverado operated by Russell Holzman, 66, of Le Mars, Iowa.
The report states the southbound Chevy crossed the center line and struck the side of a trailer being pulled by the Silverado, and the southbound vehicle then struck the Honda head-on. The crash took place at approximately 1:50 p.m. Monday.
A 13-year-old Hull male was airlifted to Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, while Goedken was airlifted to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Lucy Hoppe, 90, was also flown to Avera McKennan Hospital, while Norma Niz Niz, 36, of Hull, was transported to Avera Merrill Pioneer Hospital, Rock Rapids.
