Teen girl dies following Sunday morning ATV crash

A Fulda High School student died Sunday as a result of an ATV crash Sunday morning.

According to the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, the crash was reported at 10:7 a.m. Sunday from the intersection of 140th Street and Sundberg Avenue in Dundee. Murray County was dispatched, and the Fulda Ambulance responded.

An email sent by Fulda Superintendent and High School Principal Michael Pagel later Sunday identified the student as Molly Clarke, a junior at Fulda High School. He added that crisis counseling would be available in the district beginning Monday morning to students and staff.

On Monday, the Nobles County Sheriff's Office issued its own press release about the single-vehicle crash. Sheriff Ryan Kruger noted that responding deputies encountered a 2015 Polaris Ranger Class 2 ATV in the south ditch that was involved in the crash. He added that first responders also encountered one victim, a 17-year-old juvenile female

from rural Dundee who was ejected from the ATV during the crash. The female sustained critical injuries during the crash which resulted in her death, the press release added.

Kruger said the incident is still under investigation and pending examination by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.
