Minnesota's high school wrestling tournament continued Friday with individual competition in all classes. Three Adrian-Ellsworth individuals qualified in Class A; one wrestler from Worthington qualified in Class AA.
At 152 pounds, A-E's Isaac Bullerman was defeated 6-0 by Blaine Fischer of Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa. Bullerman will next wrestle against Hank Tellers of the United North Central Warriors in the wrestlebacks.
At 195, A-E's Jaren Winselman was up against Jojo Thompson of Deer River, and Thompson won by fall in 3:20. Winselman will not have an opportunity to compete again in this tournament.
A-E's Cameron Wieneke had a more favorable result at 220. Wieneke won by fall in 2:25 over Justin Slater of Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial Area and was to wrestle Jaxon Behm of Atwater-Cosmos Grove City in the next round. Behm won by fall over Wieneke in 1:54, and Wieneke now moves to a wrestlebacks match against Cody Lohman of Goodhue.
In Class 2A, Worthington 285-pounder Cole Hennings won his first match of the day by earning a 3-0 decision over Hunter Stein of Watertown-Mayer. Hennings then defeated wrestle Aaron Adekplovi of St. Paul Como Park, 4-2, and will next face off against Elijah Novak of Foley in the semifinals.
