SMAC awards grant for Jasper City Park project

Bauman Hall Arts, a project by Reclaim Community in Jasper, has been awarded a $20,000 grant by the Southwest MN Arts Council. 

SMAC Public Art grants provide organizations and city, county, or tribal governments with up to $20,000 for large-scale physical public art projects that will leave an arts legacy in southwest Minnesota. The project should result in sustainable arts access in the community, with a continuing impact over several years.

The grant to Bauman Hall Arts will go toward a large-scale outdoor sculpture in Jasper City Park, including a bench with a large back surface ready to be customized ​based on public feedback from the residents of Jasper.
