Several Stingrays excel at Midwest Regional Swim Meet

The Worthington Area YMCA Stingrays swim team competed at the Midwest Regional Swim Meet March 28 and 29 at the University of Minnesota.
Competing against nearly 500 swimmers from 41 teams, the Stingrays' 13 swimmers wound up placing 20th as a team.
All of the team's relays placed in the top 16. Those include: 10 & Under Mixed 200 Medley Relay, second place; 18 & Under Mixed 400 Free Relay, third place; 18 & Under Mixed 200 Free Relay, third place; 18 & Under Mixed 200 Medley Relay, fifth place; and 18 & Under Mixed 400 Medley Relay, fifth place.
Individual highlights include: Liam Gordon, first place, 50 Free, second place, 100 Free, fifth place, 100 Breast and sixth place; 200 Free; Hercules Drah, sixth place, 100 Breast as well as four additional top 12 finishes; Wyatt Stand, third place 50 Free; Aiden Litcher, seventh, 200 Breast; Morgan Heezen, ninth, 100 Fly; Brant Altman, 13th, 50 Breast; and Annabelle Kremer, top 16 finishes in both breaststroke events.
Other Stingrays who qualified for the regional event were Emily Dahlquist, Nassiah Gronewold, Aria Kounin, Madison Krueger, Gerret Larson and Hadlee Markus. The meet marked the conclusion of the team's 2025–2026 season.
