September much warmer than average with dry conditions

Worthington's September weather included high and low temperatures that were warmer than average and precipitation that was slightly less than half the average, according to data compiled at Worthington's Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The average high this past month was 77.5 degrees, which is 4.6 degrees above the September normal of 72.9. The average low was 52.2 degrees, which is 3.1 degrees above average.
The warmest temperature of the month was recorded at 93 degrees, which came on King Turkey Day. Highs of 89 degrees were measured on Sept. 17 and 30, and a high of 88 was recorded on the 15th. The coolest thermometer reading of the month was 35 degrees, which came on both Sept. 6 and 7.
Worthington picked up 1.48 inches of precipitation during the past month, which amounts to 1.73 inches of rain less than the 3.21 inches that's typical here for September. Six-tenths of the month's rain was measured on Sept. 19.
So far in 2025, Worthington has received 24.05 inches of rainfall. The average here for the first nine months of a year is 25.99 inches.
The average high for the first nine months of 2025 is 61.0 degrees, compared to the average of 58.4. The average low for this year thus far is 36.6 degrees, compared to 36.3.
