Schutz is named national tourney MVP; Krahling and Kamm honored

Katrina Schutz, last week's Radio Works Athlete of the Week, was named the MVP of the NJCAA Division 3 Women's Basketball National Tournament. The Minnesota West sophomore, who turned 20 years old Friday, averaged 18.7 points and 15 rebounds over the tourney's three games to boost the Lady Jays to the title.
Also selected to the all-tournament team were fellow sophomores and teammates Sadie Krahling and Maddie Kamm. Krahling averaged 14.7 points a game during the three games at Brownwood, Texas. Kamm averaged 6.7 points, 11.0 rebounds and 7.3 assists per contest. Riemers, who didn't make the all-tournament team, connected for an average of 15.7 points in the three games.
Additionally, Minnesota West head coach Rosalie "Moz" Hayenga-Hostikka earned Coach of the Tournament honors.
