Sanford Worthington Medical Center hosting blood drive on Feb. 5

Sanford Worthington Medical Center will host a community blood drive from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5 in support of local patients and the community’s blood supply. 

To schedule an appointment, donors may visit www.cbblifeblood.org, select “donate now,” “blood drive calendar,” choose Feb. 5th and click on “Sanford Worthington Medical Center” or call Community Blood Bank at (605) 331-3222. All blood donors will receive a $20 Kwik Trip gift card as a token of appreciation.

Eligible donors must be at least 17 years old (or 16 with signed parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good general health. Donors should eat a meal and drink plenty of fluids before their appointment and bring a valid ID. 

Community Blood Bank is a joint cooperative of Sanford USD Medical Center and Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center and serves as the exclusive blood provider to Sanford Worthington Medical Center. As an independent, self-sufficient organization, Community Blood Bank relies entirely on the generosity of local donors.
