Three Sibley-Ocheyedan student-athletes — including two who just completed their senior years — were recently named to the All-War Eagle Conference Softball Team.
Named to the first team for the Generals was now-graduated senior Becca Woelber, who concluded her softball season with a .447 batting average and .543 on-base percentage. She also scored 14 runs and contributed 15 runs batted in.
Incoming junior Lillie Marco was a second-team all-conference pick for Sibley-Ocheyedan. Marco's stats included a .275 batting average, 10 runs scored and seven RBIs; she also pitched in 13 games (five of them starts).
Jorryn Julius, another just-graduated senior for the Generals, earned honorable mention recognition. She hit .408 with four doubles, 10 runs scored and 11 RBIs.
Sibley-Ocheyedan competed in the War Eagle Conference for the first time this season. Coached by Amie Elser, the Generals wound up going 3-8 in conference play and 3-14 overall. That was good enough for eighth place in the 11-team league.
