RRC all-conference wrestlers are selected

Five wrestlers from Adrian Area and five more from Fulda/Murray County Central have been named to the Red Rock Conference All-Conference Wrestling team for 2024-2025.
Named from Adrian Area were Moe Erdman at 127, Travis Weiss at 133, Charger Erlandson at 145, Jackson Jenniges at 152 and Roberto Hernandez at 215. Selected from Fulda/MCC were Kaston Clarke at 114, Quintin Lewis at 160, Isaiah Wolske at 172, Carson Klein at 189 and Colby Kesteloot at 285.
Also selected as all-conference were Keagan Steen of Red Rock Central at 107 and Kameron Koerner of Windom/Mountain Lake at 139.
Honorable mention picks include: Jesse Bullerman, Devin Mazza and Caleb Wolf of Adrian Area; Damien Davidson, Graycen Hansen and Jacob Lopez of Windom/Mountain Lake; Teague Meyer of Fulda/Murray County Central and Braxton Weber of Red Rock Central.

Taleigha Bigler had 30 points and 11 rebounds as the No. 3 Marshall girls basketball team advanced to the Class 3A state championship game by defeating No. 7 Cretin-Derham Hall 57-48 Thursday afternoon. Marshall, now 29-1, will take on top-seeded Benilde-St. Margaret’s (23-6) at Williams Arena with a 2 p.m. tip-off on Saturday for the crown.

Montevideo outscored Jackson County Central 8-0 in the final minute to edge the Huskies 62-61 Thursday to win the Section 3AA Boys Basketball Tournament and advance to state. JCC ends its season at 24-5.

In the Section 3A Boys Basketball Tournament title game Thursday, Hills-Beaver Creek was defeated by Dawson-Boyd 59-52. The Patriots finish their season 26-3.
