One injured in Wednesday crash in Pipestone County

A Pipestone woman was injured Wednesday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash in Pipestone County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2016 Volkswagen Golf operated by Angel Luis Alvarez, 35, of Pipestone was westbound on Minnesota 30 when it entered the ditch near 60^th Avenue. The incident took place at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday.

A passenger in the vehicle -- Seinu Calderon, 37, of Pipestone — was taken to Pipestone County Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury. Alvarez was unhurt.

The Pipestone County Sheriff's Office, along with the Pipestone Fire Department and Ambulance, assisted at the scene.
