One injured in Monday Cottonwood County crash

An 80-year-old woman was injured Monday in a crash in Cottonwood County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2020 Honda HR-V operated by Elizabeth M. Rhodes, 64, of Hudson, Wis., was eastbound on Minnesota 60 and a 2017 Ford Edge operated by Claire Albert Berlin, 81, of Butterfield was southbound on Cottonwood County 27 when they collided at the intersection. The crash took place at 11:39 a.m. Monday. 

Rhodes and Berlin were both unhurt, but a passenger — Kaydra Ellen Berlin, 80, of Butterfield, sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to Windom Area Health. The Cottonwood County Sheriff's Office along with the Mountain Lake Police Department and Mountain Lake Fire and Ambulance assisted at the scene.
