An 80-year-old woman was transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center following a Saturday morning accident in Nobles County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2016 Honda Fit operated by Lorna Leanne Thompson, 80, of San Marino, Calif. was eastbound on 160th Street and a 2016 Peterbilt semi truck/trailer operated by Jose Antonio Pilar Lopez, 38, of Pipestone was southbound on U.S. 59. The vehicles collided in the intersection.
Thompson was transported to Worthington’s hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene of the crash, which was reported at 10:53 a.m. Saturday.
