Observe rules with burns despite ban being lifted

While a burn ban has been lifted, Nobles County Sheriff Ryan Kruger is urging folks to be aware that fire danger is still high, and that fires can start easily and spread at a fast rate. 

Kruger also reminds people to call in prior to burning and once their burn is complete. A permit can be obtained by stopping at the Sheriff’s Office or by calling (507) 295-5400. 

Conditions may require that a burn ban is put back in place in the near future. Check the Nobles County Sheriff's Office Facebook page and the DNR burning restrictions page before starting a burn.
