Northwest Iowa man dies in motorcycle crash south of Sheldon

A Sheldon man died as a result of a motorcycle crash Wednesday night south of Sheldon.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, a 2012 Harley Road Glide operated by Jeremy Korth, 27, of Sheldon was southbound on Iowa 60 when it left the roadway and entered the west ditch and rolled, throwing Korth. The crash was reported at approximately 11 p.m.
Korth was transported by the Sheldon Community Ambulance Team (SCAT) to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center. He was later flown to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, where he died as a result of his injuries.
The Harley sustained approximately $18,000 in damage. The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office and Sheldon Fire Company also assisted at the scene.

Two Brewster residents were injured in a Thursday night crash in Cottonwood County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2020 Chevy Silverado operated by Ilich Isaias Calderon, 43, of Brewster was westbound on Minnesota 62 in Springfield Township when it struck a deer at 390th Avenue. The crash was reported at 9:31 p.m. Thursday.
Calderon was transported to Windom Area Health with a non-life-threatening injury. A passenger, Maria Magdalen Talavera, 40, of Brewster was also taken to Windom Area Health with a non-life-threatening injury.
The Cottonwood County Sheriff's Office and Heron Lake Ambulance assisted at the scene.

A California teen was injured late Thursday in a rollover crash on Interstate 90.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2020 Dodge Charger operated by Milana Ashley Ternavsky, 19, of Roseville, Calif. was westbound on I-90 when it left the roadway and rolled. The crash was reported at 11:37 p.m. Thursday near milepost 37 in Nobles County's Dewald Township.
Ternavsky was transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury. A 22-year-old female passenger, also from Roseville, was unhurt.
