Cassandra Casian, a freshman at Worthington High School, will be Worthington's exchange student to Crailsheim, Germany for the 2023-2024 academic year. The announcement was made Sunday during the Worthington-Crailsheim International banquet on Sunday.
Casian has a strong academic background, having received the highest honors award. She is in orchestra and has an interest in art and history. She has traveled across the United States and has been on a trip to Mexico, but her upcoming trip to Crailsheim will be the first time she crosses an ocean. Casian, who has both Mexican and Guatemalan heritage, impressed the selection committee with her curiosity.
The current Worthington student in Crailsheim is Nataly Najera Murillo. The current student in Worthington is Anica Bos. The Crailsheim Committee will select its student representative to Worthington on March 9.
