New Gora, a senior at Worthington High School and a member of the Trojans girls basketball team, is this week’s Radio Works Athlete of the Week. Gora scored 38 points as WHS earned an 80-79 on the road Thursday night against Jackson County Central. The victory was the second straight for the previously winless Trojans following a triumph at Albert Lea this past Tuesday.
The Radio Works Athlete of the Week is being brought to you by Leading Edge Credit Union, federally insured by NCUA with locations in Worthington, Jackson, Fulda, Windom and Marshall. Each recipient will be recognized with a Radio Works Athlete of the Week T-shirt as well as recognition on our social media pages. Athletes will be recognized from schools that include Worthington, Round Lake-Brewster, Jackson County Central, Heron Lake-Okabena, Fulda, Sibley-Ocheyedan, Adrian-Ellsworth and Minnesota West.
