Federated Broadband officially kicked off mainline construction for its latest fiber optic project in rural Martin County with a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday in Welcome.
The project is made possible by a Round 10 Border-to-Border grant, awarded by the Minnesota Office of Broadband Development. It will extend high-speed fiber optic internet services to more than 450 households, businesses and farms in six townships in Martin County.
