National Community Education Day to be observed Thursday

District 518 Community Education in Worthington is marking Thursday's National Community Education Day, a time to celebrate lifelong learning and the programs that bring people together.

"From early childhood to adult enrichment, Community Education opens doors for everyone to learn, grow, and connect," said Soom Chandaswang, District 518 Community Enrichment Programs Coordinator, in a press release. "Whether it’s taking a class, volunteering, or attending a community event, you’re part of something bigger — a community that learns together."

Chandaswang advised that the winter edition of the Community Education catalog is expected to arrive in local mailboxes next week and includes new classes and opportunities for all ages.
