Motorcyclist dies in Tuesday crash on I-90

A motorcycle-vs.-road grader crash Tuesday morning on Interstate 90 resulted in a North Carolina man's death.


According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2024 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by David Martin Houck, 41, of Durham, N.C. was westbound on I-90 near milepost 12 when it struck a road grader while it was working in a construction zone. The crash took place at 10:39 a.m. Tuesday.


Houck, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene of the crash. The operator of the road grader, Brandon Buddy Feeken, 31, of Rushmore, was unhurt. The Rock County Sheriff's Office, Luverne Fire Department, Sanford EMS and the Minnesota Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
