More than $19,000 awarded through latest Federated Operation Round Up

The Federated Rural Electric Trust, Jackson, recognized local organizations receiving $19,195 through Operation Round Up. These donations occur due to monthly contributions by participating Federated members. 


Twenty-two groups received money in this 62nd round of funding: They include:

Martin County West Elementary, Sherburn; Heron Lake-Okabena FFA; Jackson County Central Speech/Language Therapy Department; SW & West Central Service Co-op, Lutheran Social Services, Jackson; Caregiver Response Effort & Service Team, Fairmont; Martin County West Sherburn Elementary; H-LO H.S. Positive Behavior Interventions & Support; Coats for Kids/Family Services, Martin County West Early Childhood Family Education; Martin County Substance Abuse Coalition; H-LO Ag Education Program; Des Moines Valley Health & Human Services, Jackson County; Alpha Fire Department; Healing Hearts Recovery, Sherburn; South Central Dive Team, Trimont; Martin County West Elementary; JCC Health Office; Sherburn Fire Department, Southwest Crisis Center, Jackson; Heaven’s Table Food Shelf; and Heat Share, The Salvation Army.


The Trust Board will meet again in the spring to determine the next round of funding. The deadline for submitting applications is Feb. 13, 2026.

The Salvation Army’s Heat Share Program received $2,000 for emergency energy assistance for Federated members in need.
