The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting information sessions to discuss opportunities to install electric vehicle charging stations at locations near Interstate 90. One of the meetings is Sept. 10 in Worthington.
This new grant is part of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program and will reimburse up to 90% of project costs. MnDOT anticipates this grant round will open in fall 2024. The information session will include a short presentation and time for questions, answers and networking with others interested in the electric vehicle industry.
The sessions will present information on how your business can benefit from offering electric vehicle charging, what the process is to apply for National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure grant funds, requirements and expectations of the program, and how you can partner with other knowledgeable providers to be successful.
An in-person session will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 10 at JBS Fieldhouse, while an online session will be from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 9. Register at www.mndot.gov/nevi.
