Minnesota West Community & Technical College, in partnership with Avera Health and North Memorial, is hosting a Scrubs Camp to get students excited and interested in pursuing a career in health care.
The camp will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 23 on Minnesota West's Granite Falls campus. Students will explore many programs showcased with working professionals and experience what it would be like to work in a particular health care career field. Programs showcased in Granite Falls are: medical assistant; medical laboratory technician/phlebotomy; radiologic technology; surgical technology; and nursing assistant/trained medication aide.
The typical camp experience will expose students to a variety of lab equipment and medical tools. Lunch and a light breakfast will be provided, and the camp is free to attend. The camp aims to host juniors, seniors and non-traditional students interested in health care.
