The Southwest Minnesota Career Expo event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 28-29 at Minnesota West Community & Technical College's Worthington campus and at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.
Students will spend about 90 minutes in the career exhibit area, which will include student orientation to the exhibits and career information, a college welcome and exhibit exploration.
Hundreds of business, agency and education volunteers work together to provide this opportunity for high school students, college students, adult basic education students and various southwest Minnesota Workforce Center participants.
The event is an opportunity to help area youths develop the skills and leadership that will keep the region's economy moving forward with business and education communities working closely together.
The Southwest Minnesota Career Expo is a highly interactive career information and exploration event. In 2019, it served more than 1,800 students from 30 schools.
