Minnesota man killed in crash on U.S. 59 in Murray County

A Minneota man died Monday as the result of a collision between two semis in Murray County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2014 Freightliner semi operated by Dennis Keith Kor, 58, of Minneota was northbound on U.S. 59 and a 2022 International Straight truck operated by Michael Arthur Griffin, 61, of Tyler was southbound when the vehicles collided. The crash occurred in snow/ice conditions at 7:27 a.m. Monday near the intersection of U.S. 59 and 156th Street in Murray County's Mason Township.
Kor, who according to the State Patrol was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene of the crash. Griffin sustained a life-threatening injury and was transported to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls.
The Murray County Sheriff's Office, Slayton Fire Department, Murray County Ambulance and Currie First Responders assisted at the scene.
