Man wanted in Truman shooting incident is in custody

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says the man wanted in connection with a shooting in Truman on Thursday is now in custody.
The sheriff’s office says Kyle Liford, 32, was taken into custody without incident. No other information has been released. Authorities had earlier stated that he was wanted on second-degree attempted murder charges in connection with the shooting that took place Thursday evening in Truman.
The sheriff's office had initially responded to a report at 6:14 p.m. Thursday of domestic assault in the city of Truman. It had been reported that an adult female had been shot in the chest with a pistol. The female was transported to a nearby hospital.
