The Nobles County Sheriff's Office has apprehended Michael Layne Spath, a man sought since Saturday by law enforcement.

Spath had been described Saturday’s law enforcement alert as being in his 40s, 6-foot-3 inches tall, 260 pounds, and having a beard and a tattoo on his neck. The male had been last seen wearing grey sweatpants, a grey shirt and was carrying a blue backpack. It had been reported that the subject may have been armed and been last seen in a cornfield outside of Brewster.

Spath was apprehended for evading officers. The county sheriff’s office thanks citizens for staying vigilant and reporting suspicious activity. Law enforcement recommends keeping your personal belongings locked up.
