Man suffers serious injuries in early morning I-90 crash

A Michigan man sustained a life-threatening injury in a crash early Friday on Interstate 90.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2024 Dodge Durango operated by Chadd Sami Rasas, 36, of Waterford, Michigan, was eastbound on I-90 when it left the roadway, collided with the median and rolled. The crash took place at 5:23 a.m. Friday near milepost 67 in Jackson County's Hunter Township.
Rasas was transported to Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls with a life-threatening injury. A passenger, Kathryn Lynn Ohmer, 26, of Highland, Michigan, sustained a non-life-threatening injury. She was not transported.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office, along with the Lakefield Fire Department and Ambulance, assisted at the scene.
