A fatal crash this past weekend in Lismore has resulted in felony charges against a Lismore man.
Calvin Francis Loosbrock, 36, was charged in Nobles County Fifth District Court with second degree manslaughter - culpable negligence creating unreasonable risk; criminal vehicular homicide - operating a vehicle with negligence, under the influence of alcohol; and criminal vehicular homicide - operating a motor vehicle in a grossly negligent manner.
The Nobles County Sheriff’s office stated that its deputies responded to a report of a crash in Lismore at approximately 12:25 a.m. Saturday. After being unable to locate the crash at first, a man later identified Loosbrock pointed law enforcement toward the site, adding that he didn’t know who had been driving the side-by-side involved in the crash. Loosbrock appeared to be intoxicated at the time, it was noted.
Two individuals trapped under the side-by-side were rescued. A third was unresponsive and taken to Sanford Luverne Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. She was later identified as Sara Marie Pittman, 43, of Fairmont.
